Last day at Kakadu which means we have to pack, shop and prepare for our 2 day 1500 kilmetre drive to Alice Springs. Did a short drive down to Mamukala Wetlands to check out the bird watching hide and see if we can learn some more about this amazing area of Australia. Lucky for us the 3 kilometre walk was closed because everyone up here seems to think they'll lose tourists if too many get eaten by crocodiles waiting on the edges of their wetlands? Drove on to the Gungarre walk which was also closed, did spot brolgas, black cockatoos, jesus birds and of course plenty of other water based birds.
Back home for lunch and a bit of shopping for the trip ahead, relax by the pool into the afternoon then an early night.

I think I liked the last photo best - the pool looks pretty good! :) Will be a long trip to Alice Springs but hopefully will be plenty to see. Roads are so good that the trip goes fairly quickly and Pammy just sing Coat of Many Colours the whole way and I bet Vernon gets there really quickly! Love T & G xxx
